Issue with adding form and the adding photos

I have two table the first create entries about an item and then I have a second table adding pictures. i have created a UX view to add details of the item and then when you click save it automtically brings up the UX view to add photos. The issue being is that it is not bringing over the unique ref number from the main table its just blank. I have set up a ref column in the photo table table so it is linked.

I want to be able to click save on the item and then it automatically allows you to add photos to the item. I am sure i have done this before but for the life of me I cant find a reference to it. Also once you have finished adding the photos I want it to return to the original item detail view.
