Hi!
I am building a database for a running project where I have (among other tables) a table with people and a table with applications. I want to create a junction table in between in order to have many-to-many relationships (a person can be a contact for multiple applications and applications can have multiple contacts).
I created the junction table as containing the references to the persons and the applications tables plus a contact type column. i have the data to fill it in ready in a spreadsheet but I am unable to paste the data directly into the table from the editor.
Is there a way to load it from the spreadsheet in an automated way?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
The following URL contains an example of many-to-many relationships.
https://www.appsheet.com/templates/JOIN-TABLE-Method-for-implementing-ManytoMany-References?appGuidS...
Hi @jballester - Many thanks!
Let me first say that I get this error when following the link:
App not found: 6632f41a-2a06-48b2-9539-7876f632ec8d
Secondly, I have already implemented the Junction Table. However, my problem is how to load the Junction Table with existing data (~1000 lines) without having to do it manually. Apologies if this is explained in the link you shared but I cannot open it.
Thanks once again.
hi,
template url work fine.
You don't specify a database, but for composing information and uploading it easily, there's Google Spreadsheet, import CSV....
Hi,
The template does not work for me. I noticed that, when I click on the URLL you provided, it changes from www.appsheet.com to eu.appsheet.com - I assume this is (part of) the issue.
Also, if I go to www.appsheet.com, I get redirected to eu.appsheet.com. There I can search for templates but I cannot find anything starting with JOIN.
In other sorts of things, I am looking for a way to load the table with existing data. As I mentioned above, the table already exists. So, I cannot link it to a Google Spreadsheet. I also cannot see a way to load CSV data into the existing table. I cannot paste data as it tells me it is based on references...
Sorry but your answer does not really help me.
