Odd Outline on device but not in Viewer

I noticed a problem that just occurred today. I have a black outline around my deck views on my phone that does not appear in my viewer. I’m close to presenting but came across this today. Can someone help identify what’s causing this? I’ve logged out/back in and reinstalled the app but no luck.

I noticed this maybe yesterday or the day before, it’s just a solid black outline around each of the separate inline views.

I personally welcome this, it makes it easier to differentiate the different sections.

Would prefer it to be optional. In our case we have a strong background image. This also affects our marketing collateral.

How do we turn off?

This isn’t an intentional change. We weren’t able to observe it on an iPad or Android phone, but it looks like the browser is improperly rendering the intended shadow as a solid black bar. It may be a device/version specific issue. What kind of phone is it?

If you need an immediate workaround for a presentation, I would just temporarily disable the background image (set the Main Image of the detail view to “none”). Or if you have access to a different kind of phone you could use for the presentation, you may not see the problem there.

I still haven’t found the cause of this behavior but managed to observe it once. I see we’re doing something fancy to adjust the shadow when there’s a background image, and it may be related to that. I’m going to try to disable that. With the problem not appearing consistently for me, I can’t verify whether that will make any difference, but maybe you will see a difference when it goes live in a day or so.

Jonathan, what device are you using again? Did you have to uninstall/reinstall? I still have the outline on my phone - Galaxy S9

I am using a Galaxy s10+ with the most recent version of Android. I didn’t have to update anything.

Is it possible the new appsheet update hasn’t propagated to your account yet?
