Opinion: Review of AppSheet Development in 2024

I found this blog by Google, but I'm unclear about which feature it relates to in AppSheet: AppSheet year in review | Google Workspace Blog It looks fake to me. Is it a new feature, or did I miss an announcement? 

Google is working to deepen Workspace integration, as mentioned by @zito  in another post, which is a positive development.

Are the features released in 2024 useful to anyone? I've developed hundreds of apps, including some with over 100 tables, and I haven't found any of this year's features helpful. I've even disabled the chat integration, as it doesn't serve any of my clients or organizations. Is anyone else finding these new features useful? 

Can the updates mentioned in the blog be classified as a major update, considering the entire appsheet team had 355 days to work on them?

Leaving their blog aside for now (it is free for everyone what they say), 2024 with AppSheet was not providing much of "new harvest" from end user point of view.

Creating new AppSheet app with Gemini AI.  Nobody using.  We suggested to all of our direct clients to ban if they wish to avoid any possible disruptions. They all followed our suggestion as they deem our suggestion is quite resonable.

Integration with Google Forms.  It was there before Google time.  Make things worse, the new integration is not lacking capability which the legacy integration using AppSheet Event add on does. Still old Add on is useful. New integration is lacking in much of important features. So we also suggest to our client to use add on rather than using new integration if they wish to avoid another headache and disruptions.

New Admin board.  Only few major player with appsheet could appreciate. But there is no remarkable new feature was added to the existing dashboard. So no impact.

Other than that, there is no new remarkable features was added throughout this year, if I am correct.

Hang on. Looking back to Google Next 2024.  The new connectors to access to various data sources such as SAP etc, was loudly announced to be introduced within this year. As we expect, nothing happens. To make things worse, no update. Google can not argue if they are said that was fake announcement.

New Gemini Extract AI task. I m testing privately. There are new verbs. All of those verbs, I would say NO BODY would use, as we could not come up with any real-world use cases. Possibly, it could be used internally in Google company, but it wont be used by the end users of AppSheet.  Yes, extract / extract table verbs could be used for particular use cases, but not going to fill the needs of AppSheet end users broadly.

Why ? they forgot to listen to the  voice of the end users.  Feature request category is unattended. This tells all the story.  They do not want to listen to us, but they want to fill the necessity or order from management internally.

Hope this story could be changed in 2025.

WHERE ARE FOR/WHILE LOOPING ACTIONS???

Still can't believe that having to use 3-4 actions to do a workaround is considered as acceptable. Don't get me started on using Apps Script to do this either, because it does not improve processing times (at least not for my process).
