Overwrite AppSheet login page to default browser

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, so please let me know if anything is unclear or should be improved.

We’re using Zebra devices running Android Enterprise OS, all managed via SOTI MobiControl MDM. One of our critical applications is AppSheet, and we’re currently trying to block end-user access to Chrome (as we can’t manage it the way we’d like on these devices) and instead move users over to SOTI Surf as the default browser.

While I can successfully set Surf as the default browser, Chrome cannot be uninstalled and appears to be required for SOTI lockdown to function properly. Which is fine.

The main issue:
AppSheet always opens Chrome for login, and I can’t find a way to force it to use Surf instead. No matter what I try, the login flow insists on launching in Chrome.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Any suggestions, workarounds, or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried removing Chrome altogether?

I tried, it seams that Zebra OS (their custom build of Android) doesn't allow removing Chrome from the device.
