Prevent or disable emojis

Is there a way to prevent app users from entering anything as an emoji?  They really cause problems when things like text labels and what not are required.  They also get stored in a Google Sheet as an emoji too and then I often really don't know what the user intended.  e.g. Is that a bison or a buffalo?  Did they mean a moose?  It's a science setting, and emojis can be frustrating.

I'm trying not to yell at clouds yet at least.

Not directly but you can do the opposite.. like adding a validation to check what characters are approved. Though the formula will be quite long.
