Problem With Date type

I have at table in sheets with a field "reg.date" type date, Appsheet set to auto compute the initial value = TODAY(), no problem until today, has been working for years.

Using NOW() as Initial Value no values are displayed.

Non changes on the app in the last month

If TODAY() works, why did you change it to NOW()?

You are right. I explained myself badly

No one of theese formulas works:

  • TODAY()
  • NOW()
  • DATE(TODAY())

Please post a screenshot of the column configuration. Please also post a screenshot of the spreadsheet that includes the column and its column header. If the spreadsheet contains any sensitive information, please obscure it.

If I use DataTime it is "better"

Theese are the formulas on INIT value

The formula is right. If I put it in the "Formula section" with date time it works:

In this way I have find a work-around (we are in production) but the problem still exist.

I have no explanation for this behavior. It looks like a bug. Please contact AppSheet Support for further help with this.

What is the column type for "Nuovo"? And why are you reading the column's own value in the initial value?

It is a boolean. It is a calc field used to allow edit only the first time you enter the record. You can traslate as "NEW".

I have also open a Ticket to the support as suggested by Steve

I made a quick test with your setup and for me with the Free plan it works just fine.
