Protect Google Sheet

Hi,

If I set some sheets in googlesheet to be protected do I have to give every user on my app permision in the sheet to edit or can they use they use the app and change the sheet through that without it.

The reason is that I would like someone to work on google scripts etc (and fix some things) but without the ability to edit/delete etc the actual data in the sheets. I can protect the sheets but do I need to add every app user (9 of them) as able to edit.

It depends on the Access mode setting for the table:

If set to as app creator (the default, and most common), the owner of the app must have full access to the spreadsheet. If set to as app user, each app user must have sufficient access to make the changes the app will make to the spreadsheet.

This morning I needed to share the google sheet associated with my app with a few people in the company who were using the info. So I protected some ranges and sheets in Google Sheets as you would if you were going to share the Google Sheet with others, but it seemed to mess with my Appsheet table qualifier, and users were getting ref from other column values instead of the normal REF list values. 

Is that expected behaviour, is there a setting to change to be able to protect ranges in Google sheets when used in conjunction with APPSHEET?

I'm afraid I don't have enough (or any!) experience with protected ranges to say.

I would probably bet that the people who worked in the spreadsheet had something to do with this, changing things around or some formulasz just for a few seconds when somebody loaded/refreshed the app

Você pode compartilhar as informações do BD com outras pessoas, criando uma planilha de consulta através da fórmula importrange. Impedindo que façam qualquer tipo de alteração no seu BD.

Gracias por tu aporte. He logrado crear el enlace usando "COPIAR ENLACE" en la configuración de uso compartido de Hojas de cálculo de Google, y vincula el rango deseado, pero en realidad necesito que los demás puedan marcar la hoja de cálculo mientras realizan un seguimiento de los reclamos, por lo que quiero que marquen a medida que envían reclamos y tomen notas cuando haya demoras.

Supongo que la otra forma es hacerlos usuarios en la aplicación, pero que sea más fácil trabajar en la hoja de cálculo junto con el tipo de datos que tenemos.

Pero pensándolo bien, ellos pueden comentar en su archivo y yo puedo hacer un seguimiento de sus comentarios en el archivo y también puedo copiar sus entradas. Así que esto puede funcionar.
