Returning Customers

New to AppSheets and becoming more literate while working.
My app is a form customers must complete before service.
Many are returning customers.
How can I set the app to recognize a potential returning customer and get to a point of automatically populating the rest of the customers information?
Since I’m new to all this, I could really use a video or a link to step-by-step directions on this one.
