I have a formula that I apply as an expression in the security setting for every table. Since the formula is the same, can I store that formula in a separate table (say APP_SETTINGS) and then just use a LOOKUP function in the security filter of any table to get that filter value from that APP_SETTINGS table? I tried this approach but it keeps complaining that the filter needs to return a true or false. Maybe I need to call it differently.
No you can't do that.
