Smartsheet - Updating a cell in a column formula is not supported.

I get the following error when trying to insert or edit via Appsheets.

Unable to add row to table 'Contacts'. โ†’ Error 1302 in SmartsheetProvider retry: Updating a cell in a column formula is not supported.

We have Smartsheet only users and the column formula's are very important for these users. The AppSheet app does not need to even know about these fields. I know you can update/insert a row via the API as long as you don't include these fields. It would be ideal if AppSheet can skip the column formula fields when creating or editing new rows.

Anyone know a work around this?

Hi @veneer

Did you try removing any expression in the Auto Compute section of your column here:

Hi Aurelien,

I did try that with no luck. From my understanding it includes all fields when doing an insert or update. Ideally it would change this to exclude formula fields in future.

I've made a hack work around for now. Two additional sheets. A temporary sheet that the new ID is inserted into with a smartsheet workflow on new row that then moves the row into another sheet which has the formula columns.
