I am trying a new thing in AppSheet and would like suggestions on how to solve it. I have a main record with multiple sub-records (1-to-many relationships.) When the user selects a main record I would like to go to a gallery page showing icons that can be clicked to create/edit each type of sub-record (and one for editing the main record).
Is this possible? I tried creating a Gallery but I don't know how to populate it.
Thanks for any suggestions.
That is very interesting but I don't quite understand how the icons appear. What makes the orange Menu A icon appear on the home screen? When I tried to replicate this in my app I just get the Welcome and email address but no icons.
Thanks for any pointers.
Ah, thanks for the articles, but I have read about actions, events and links. Obviously I am missing something, was just looking for any ideas about why the icons are not showing up.
I think we don't know exactly what you need.
I understanded that you want a launcher-style app but I'm not sure now.
What have you done so far and what you want to accomplish?
I took the logic of Rich1's User Customizable Menus and Navigation Bar app and tried to integrate that into my app. However where he has icons like below on his home screen my equivalent screen is blank. I am trying to figure out what is missing.
Those seems to be actions configured as "prominently"
Thanks to both of you for your help. I was able to create the sub-view with all the icons representing all the sub-records. (The problem was I was missing the relationship between views, actions, and format rules.)
