Unable to load image data. The selected image could not be found

Anyone have any ideas about this?

Seems odd that Appsheet would write an error message into a cell. Also I’ve checked the cell edit history and this is the only thing that was ever written to it.

My hunch is that the image file upload failed in someway. But any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey Simon,

So, take this with a grain of salt because I am still learning a bit about AppSheet so I don’t claim to know a ton just yet, but my IT brain has a small idea that might be able to point in a direction.

Since the rows are still receiving the timestamp and gps data from the photos, it makes me think that the storage path changed some how for where the photos go. Like maybe they are getting directed to a different folder and it’s throwing an “unable to load” because it doesn’t know where to retrieve them from.

I doubt you made that kind of change, but might be something to dive a little deeper with customer support potentially? Maybe they can see a deeper dive as to what might be happening.

The App has not been changed in a few weeks and this is a totally new error. They’ve previously had images missing in reports and the App from time to time - but who hasn’t.

Image/File folder path is blank for all 3 image columns so doesn’t appear to have changed

This happened to just a certain user? More than one?
Maybe it’s related to an unfinished sync process. I’ve found that images pass through different processes before it’s saved to the database/cloud storage. (I made a change on the database and recovery files showed the same column with images on different formats, even on base64, that was a nightmare to solve)

There’s really only one user on this App. So its hard to prove if its a user or device issue.

My hunch was its either a network error or something/someone cleared the Appsheet cache on the device before sync was finished
