Use built in filter on enumlist

I'm trying to use the built in filter to search by multiple categories within a EnumList column. 

When the user submits an entry, they can select multiple categories which are separated by ", ". 

If I filter for multiple categories, nothing shows up

Which "built in filter"? Is an expression involved? If so, please post a screenshot.
