User permissions question

What is the difference between edit definition and view definition when combined with user vs admin?

I am adding people tomorrow for the sole purpose of being able to add/delete users and wondering what combination of permissions to give them. I know we donโ€™t have limited permissions for this purpose.

The โ€œEdit definitionโ€ can edit your app where as the โ€œView definitionโ€ can only see your app definitions.

and what does Admin vs user give them?

can someone view definition, be an admin and add users?

or can they edit definition, be a user and add other users?

These are two different things. You can read userโ€™s role and how to use it in the appโ€ฆ like USERROLE()=โ€œAdminโ€

thanks

Only โ€œEdit definitionโ€ can add users to your whitelist. Role doesnโ€™t have anything to do with that.

@tcanelli itโ€™s been my experience that the UserRole system implemented by appsheet is literally just a way for someone to NOT have to create their own user system if they just need to quickly differentiate admins from users via the USERROLE() function.

The actual permission to do anything in the editor is controled via the
