What happens to Existing records not meeting Data Validation Rules?

What if we just set a new data validation for a certain datetime field.  And the new condition was that it should always be within 9am-12pm. 

What happens to existing record that do not meet this condition? will bots fail on these records? Just wanted to know if there's anything that needs to be checked.

The new validation starts to affect when you next time open the record. If the condition is used with the Bot, and the result is FALSE with it, it fails depending on where it is. If you are for example triggering a scheduled Bot for each row in table, and you have it with the condition, it doesn't do anything with it as it passes that row.
