adding records via worksheet but no update in the app

:Hi everyone, 

my colleagues use the worksheet to load up data instead of via the app (saying:  you can't teach an old horse new tricks).

If I add manually a key then in the graphs I also get "blank" column instead of just the count of jobs per installer which is annoying and difficult to explain to the end user. I had a look and the showif formula wouldn't work for me.

The reason I need help is, if someone loads data from the worksheet ( without a key already in the worksheet) then the data won't be visible in the app. 

How can I preload a key in the worksheet but then hide it in the graph as it has no value?

Perhaps use a Slice?

Thank-you, to be honest I had looked but not really understood the function of slicing. I will give this a try and see if I can hide this data.👌
