Insert an image with URL ==> doesn't work with GIF ?

Here is what I get at clicking on "insert an image" tool:

@Michelle Is it the url "chain of character" that is considered an error, or the content that is in the url destination that is evaluated and considered an error ?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  I will troubleshoot this issue.

In the interim, there is a workaround by copying the image from the source and pasting it into the post.
