Nested reply, response make things so much complicated

New platform is organize differently from other forum platform in general.  The response/reply is the same.

When someone create new topic. Then others reply. Then another one add reply to response made, not to the original post. Then it seems "nesting" would start.

Currently, we have no way to find what the most latest response, and who is saying to which post. Simply confusing. this is letting me away from commintiy, as it takes so much time .

I m just like a drunken personel, whenever I m on the new plaform. Not sure where I m now.

In terms of "Labels", better not to let us to label.  AppSheet team, organizer for the platform to place adequate tag (label) for each new post, otherwise it wont make sense (I m one of them, but tend to pust the wrong label for each post. If Google wish to make label clean and neat, then moderator should do that work, instead of us.)

Event for this post, I try to post without selected Labels, as I could not find the proper label. But this platform makes me impossible to post this. At the end, I decided to select inadequate label (Again , Automation). As you need, I never speak about Automation in this post, but no other choice.

The Community we are runnning for our own business, we do what I said.

We are not allowing community member to push label, but we do.

My guess is that we need to scroll through entire post to spot recent comment somewhere in between and check the date and time to confirm latest comment. I used to get notifications but never saw any new comments in the posts, but now I realize we need to scroll through entire post to spot recent comment somewhere in between. 😖

Test

I can still comment in between. That makes everyone miss what is posted latest on a thread.

I can post above and below your posts

There is an option in Settings/Display yhat lets you choose between Linear vs Threaded formats I thought linear format would get rid of this nested thing, but it found out that it only modifies the indentation not the order.

@Joseph_Seddik,

Here are the steps to change the nested thread.

My Settings>Preferences>Display>Change to Linear format>Click Save

You will also need to update the Linear Layout under My Settings>Preferences>Linear Layout>Choose the desired sorting order within topics>Click Save

Let me know if this provides the desired result.

Yes, thanks @Michelle, the sorting order did the trick. I believe this merits a community post when you can.
