Firebase and Git hub

so I come home one day and boot my computer up and something called firebase pops up or is open I've never heard of it and don't know what it is.  could someone explain to me why it would benefit someone to have me signed up for this or GitHub?

You likely encountered developer tools, Firebase or GitHub, not meant for you directly. They benefit developers by simplifying app creation (Firebase) and managing code (GitHub). Your concern about being signed up unknowingly is reasonable, but uncommon for these tools.
