Hey, I need help on some problem faced recently,
I was on my GCP Free trial account and 90 days period was over. The account should get deactivate and should not activate "Pay as you go" unless i manually do it from console.(This information also available in GCP FAQ section, refer this is link https://cloud.google.com/free/docs/free-cloud-features)
But GCP charged me INR 5161 from my debit account.
I will state some points from the above link along with my claim:
1.Cancel the Free Trial offer:
There is no action you need to take to cancel your Free Trial, unless you have already upgraded to a paid Cloud Billing account.
If your Cloud Billing account is limited to a Free Trial status, you are not billed during the Free Trial period. When the Free Trial ends, all resources you created during the trial are automatically stopped, your Free Trial billing account is suspended, and you are not charged.
My claim: I didn't activated "pay as you go" or "not upgraded to paid cloud billing account" from my console manually, but still it did converted to chargeable account.
2.When the Free Trial offer ends:
The Free Trial ends when you use all of your credit, or after 90 days, whichever happens first. At that time, the following conditions apply:
Any data you stored in Compute Engine is marked for deletion and might be lost.
You might receive a message stating that your Cloud Billing account has been canceled, which indicates that your account has been suspended to prevent charges.
My claim: again the same, GCP didn't stick to what it said and debited amount.
To summarize: Me being a learner this money is huge for me and GCP acted against its own rules.
Please help me, what i can do? to get refund.
Thank you in advance
