I'm using a little less than 2TB of regional, archive-class cloud storage. When I use the estimator it tells me that this should cost me a bit over $2/mo. However when I look at billing (a little less than one month of usage), it tells me that this storage is costing about $21/mo (free promotion is in effect currently). I'm a bit confused where the discrepancy is, any ideas?

Hi @lambHeft34,
Welcome to Google Cloud Community!
The discrepancy between your archive storage cost estimation and your actual billing may be due to estimation errors, additional fees, or the free tier. To better understand the discrepancy, you can review your billing statement in more detail or Google Cloud Billing. Here are some tips for reducing your archive storage costs: use the right storage class, delete unused data, and use a Google Cloud Pricing Calculator.
Thanks
Hi Christian, did you see the attachments I provided? Those are specifically from your tips suggestion (proof of selecing archive storage class, actual google cloud billing and actual pricing calculator evidence). The storage class is archive and the billing and price estimator do not match (not just a little bit, but by 10 times). I need to understand why this discrepancy exists or I will need to go back to amazon web services where their billing and price calculator matches.
