How do I cancel a Google Cloud subscription?

I want to remove my credit card from my Google account but I can't because it says a Google Cloud subscription is currently using it. So then I want to cancel the Google Cloud subscription but I have no idea where to do. I've tried to look it up on Google... but I still have no idea. I just don't want nothing to do with anything called Google Cloud.... I just want my credit card gone.

I'm sure this is not the place for these questions but I tried to look for somewhere to contact a Google Employee but the whole platform is just beyond annoying and complex.

If I could I would remove my google account completely but I do depend on the email address.

Login to you google cloud account then visit this link My billing accounts – Billing – Billing – Google Cloud console click on "My billing account" then you will see  an "x" beside it. click it and the billing account will be deleted. After that, visit "Payment methods" and remove your card.

There seems to be no x beside it

Go to Account Management. You will find the x button. After you close your billing acount, you will be able to remove your credit card from the account.

in Account Management I can not delete myself error is : "A billing account needs at least one user. To remove this user from the billing account, add another user first."

And I dont want put another person in trap. I just want to cancel all google cloud

I guess when we give credit card to google cloud it wont release it 😄
the only option is go to bank and cancel your credit card.

After doing the above, in order to remove your card details heres what you should do;
1. Go to google payment center
2. Open the settings tab https://payments.google.com/gp/w/home/settings
3. Scroll down until you find the "Payments profile status".

4. Click close payment profile, enter your password and the card details will be removed everywhere.

many thanks

Thanks ... this was of great help! I had to close AdSense account which I wasn't using since very long time.

Thank you very much! My head exploded trying to cancel my payment methods; you really helped me.

Hello,

I am not sure if you still need this but here it is step by step:

1. Go to google cloud .com and log in

2. go to Billing tab > Account management

Here look for the tab inside of it which is there's two or three (I'm not sure what is the exact names of the tabs, but the third one is Close account tab) sometimes it will display the "Close account" in the tab sometimes it is just a big blue X right after the second  tab.

3. After this it will ask you to type "Close" then you close the account

4 To verify if you have active/ongoing subscriptions to your google account...

Log in to google > manage google account > payment and subscriptions > subscriptions >manage subscriptions

You will see the active/cancelled/past transactions and subscriptions you have.

Hope this help someone and goodluck.

you are a God send ! thank youuu!!!

Hello,

Will they charge my bank account even if i did all the things you said about?

If yes, can i get my money back somehow?

Thanks a lot 😀

If you are worried about being charge, maybe it is better for you to have a different one. This way you will have peace of mind. If they charged your account, I think it will be impossible to refund it unless it is an honest mistake.

I did what you recommended here. however i noticed i still see subscriptions under my payment.google.com. do you know why? this company is bogus, it should be this hard to cancel things.

I am not quite sure right now since it has been so long since I visited the topic. But if I remember right, you need to stop everything in something you have subscription into. Then remove any payment methods in your google account. Under the subscription tab in google account you can check what subscription you have.
