Can't create Looker Trial instance because of the HTTP 429 "AllocateQuota failed" error

Hi all!

I'm trying to create the trial instance of the Looker Cloud Core service in GCP and I get the Resource Exhausted (HTTP 429) "AllocateQuota failed" error (see the screenshot below).

Currently, I use the trial version of GCP, 90 days left.

I followed the steps from this guide: Create a Looker (Google Cloud core) instance

What may be the issue behind this error and how can I fix it? What should I do to create the trial instance of Looker?

Good day @kn-admin,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

There are several reasons why you are encountering this error, you can try verifying the solutions below will solve your problem:

1. You haven't registered for Looker free trial, in order to register, you can use this link: https://cloud.google.com/resources/looker-free-trial

2. If this is the second instance you are trying to create, please note that you can only create one trial instance per Google Cloud Project. You can check this link for more information: https://cloud.google.com/looker/docs/looker-core-trial

3. You need to enable your Looker API, Service Networking API and Setup OAuth Client. You can check this link for more information: https://cloud.google.com/looker/docs/looker-core-trial#before_you_begin

Additionally, here is how you can create a looker trial instance. https://cloud.google.com/looker/docs/looker-core-trial#create_the_trial_instance

Hope this helps!
