Hi @jacowest,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community.

There are different reasons for the missing days in your GA4 daily export. Here are some options you might consider checking:

  • Verify your data settings are adjusted properly by checking them. Verify that you are tracking the right property, that you have chosen the right time zone, and that your data retention settings are adequate.
  • Verify your data streams to make sure they are configured properly if you are using them to export your data. Check to make sure you have chosen the right data stream and that it is set up to deliver information to the right BigQuery table.
  • Verify your scheduled queries: Make sure your scheduled queries are configured properly if you're using them to extract data from BigQuery. Verify the timing of the queries, the soundness of the query logic, and the exporting of the results to the appropriate location.

  • Verify the error message as to why the data is missing, check for any error messages in your logs or in the BigQuery UI.

  • It can take a few days before the missing data appears in your exports because Google Analytics data processing might take up to 48 hours.

Hi @Aris_O ,

I've also encountered the same issue with missing data in my BigQuery project that is receiving data from GA4 (via the native linking option in GA4).

Is there a way to update/backfill those missing days? @Aris_O

Btw, this gap in data collection was caused due to a billing mix with the billing account that was linked to the project — which may have been mitigated if there were better notifications in place.

Full context — I only received one notification about updating the payment method with valid details, informed the billing admin who then confirmed they were updated. But, as it turned out the billing accounts were mixed up, and the data collection was halted due to invalid payment details — with no further notifications until the table data was checked/queried a few weeks later.

Hope that feedback serves to improve the handling/UX of payment issues ✌️

TIA for your guidance!

hi, I faced the same issue. Have you found a way to get those missing data back?

Hi @jacowest

As a workaround you may try to import your data into windsor.ai account and export it to BigQuery for review.
