Cloud SQL point in time recovery clone stuck on PENDING_CREATE

Hello,

We need to restore a MySQL database to an earlier state thanks to the PITR feature (that is enabled on our database instance).

We cloned it using the PITR option about 7 hours ago now and it's still stuck on the PENDING_CREATE state (reported by the gcloud instances describe command)

Does anyone have experience with this ? Is it normal that it's taking so long ?

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

It can take a while for cloning using Point In Time Recovery. However it also can be a bug. I would highly suggest contacting Google Cloud Support team and you can file a bug in this link and mention it to the support that will help you. Google cloud support can help you to further investigate your project for what may be the reason for stuck cloning on PENDING_CREATE and you may also check the logs for more details to check what's on going on your project.
