Could we directly access IPU from VM?

We have already created a VM (C3) on Google Cloud, but we do not know how to directly access the IPU OS ?  or how we can use the IPU on the Google Cloud VM?

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

You can create instance on Compute Engine based on C3 Machine Family depending on your application needs. Keep in mind that this machine type utilizes higher CPU since it is using 4th Gen Intel Xeon CPUs and may add more cost. You can select OS that are available on the platform that serves use of your application.

Regarding the IPU OS, I can assume you are talking about the IPU drivers as well as the hardware that are managed on the background and doesn't need to be managed by users.

Thank you for your explanation. Our ultimate objective is to gain SSH access to the IPU. We have a diagram that outlines our intended setup. Could you please confirm if we have the permissions to access the IPU?
