Invalid field name error - What Now?

For the past year, our dashboards have been operating without any hitches. However, recently, an unexpected problem has surfaced out of nowhere. We've started encountering an "Invalid Field Name Error" in certain widget sections that rely on blended data. These issues persist even though we haven't made any alterations to the data connections.

These widgets have been running flawlessly for over a year, and now they've suddenly ceased to function. I've verified that there are no special characters causing this problem. Interestingly, when we use these data sources individually, without blending them, everything operates without any issues.

I've even gone so far as to recreate the data sets, ensuring that there are no unusual characters or issues present, and yet the same problem persists. This seems to be exclusively linked to the blending of these data sets.

Hi Help3104,

I am assuming you are referring to LookerStudio as your reporting tool?  could you share the stack trace that you see when you click into the error message?

A blended data source would use a Join to combine the data, this could be a case of an aggregated field not combining well in the join - i.e think Grouping in a SQL statement
