Google operating systems

For many long years, we have been running around Microsoft windows. Why don't Google create an operating system with Android such that a desktop computers, laptops and all systems can run on those. It will help google to create a competitive alternative ecosystem for Microsoft. We have lot of tools and systems that are available in Android whereas Google can create an ecosystem which is more competitive, effective and efficient tools which are a way better alternative for Microsoft.
