Show full value label text on hover in bar chart

I have a bar chart with potentially long strings on x axis as the dimension. In a bar chart visualization in a dashboard these may be truncated. Is there any way to show the full label, for example on mouse over?
I know that the label is shown when I mouse over the values themselves, but not when I hover over the labels.
