API - Response Trigger Action

Is it possible to workflow webhook to an API service, then take the response and trigger another action to update a record with that response?

Would this be SMS through Twilio or what would your provider typically be for SMS? What if you could do the same with Google Chat or Slack? Would that be better than SMS, or is SMS the preference?

I think SMS is preferential because it works with pretty much anyone that has a cell number. I think that being no-code I don’t really care where and how the services are connected so long as Appsheet could demonstrate a path that we could take to achieve it.

API - Response Trigger Action Feature Requests

Tagging Product team @prithpal and @Scott_Haaland @GreenFlux and @Grant_Stead , we are working on few new features as part these calling synchronous API calls with response will be supported. What do you think of using Open API specs as data sources. This would help onboard your backend APIs as a data sources in appsheet.

Validating ID photo Questions

Hello, Users are supposed to take photos of ID cards/passports through the App and I would like to know whether there is a way to check if the photo is readable and notify the user whether the photo is valid. Can this be done with Appsheet’s OCR or even with an external API through AppSheet? Also, I’d like to know about best practices security and privacy-wise that I could implement in the app to handle such information please. Thanks much!

In my case I would like to decode VIN numbers using an API, I'm using an App Script to do this right now, but if this can be done in the app it would be great, it's better to see the response right away instead of sending the data to the spreadsheet and refresh the app to see the results.
