Allow Detail/Form views to stretch to full browser width

When using apps in browsers, Detail and Form views appear to be restricted to a set maximum width. This is fine for most fields in the record, but when you have horizontally scrolling inline views of related records, it doesn’t really make as much sense. Can we have these views stretch to the full width please?

Hi @Roderick Looks like Desktop UI got similar width but split into 3 sections. I think we all need to have a full width detail view. These kind of infographics can be made visually appealing. You can notice in IMAGE2 the status being soo small with soo much real estate on both sides of screen.

Considering this kind of form/detail view on full width will be really effective to see data in one place instead of a linear detail view. Multiple sections and tabs are useful but when creating quote/estimates. Its tedious to a user to switch back and forth a 100 times to check back all those details.

Appsheet, I think this is a must. The UI design is supposed to be repsonsive, but it isn't really. On a browser it should be possible to use the full width, and potentially should be possible to divide it to sections, (maybe 3), set the relative width of those sections, and decide which which fileds appear in which section.

This Is something i am fighting with as-well. Having the multi Column layout for desktop view is helpful but still not being able to utilize a full view detail view makes it very challenging.
Also cant control what is and is not in each set of columns because different types are separated automatically.

Photo 1. This is the layout i am trying to go for

  2. Photo 2 Desktop View Attempt. "The problem with the Desktop view is filtering the Table View because i cannot have a full width detail view and be able to quick edit in the Estimate Building process." And  using the dahsboard the views cant be frozen into place so now to make it look like this i must manually adjust the view every time.
  3. Photo 3. Detail View attempts "This works but i cannot Quick edit the Table view in a detail view along with heavy width restrictions."
  4. Another thing is action positioning and shape limitations.
