It would be really cool to be able to place this action on various pieces of text that people may need so that they could copy and paste it easily. As a user i find it considerate just seeing the action even if i never use it.
@Rifad I never heard that feature requests should be posted this way. This means that feature requests in this community really are not on their radar?
From what I understand, they haven’t even seen or considered this post. From the support chat, they haven’t had any internal discussions about this, and no one has ever raised a ticket regarding it. That being said, your statement could be true.
I've submitted this Feature idea from the Send feedback form. However, I doubt that Google will check that Feedback. Perhaps this will remain as is with no feedback to us.🤒
They advised me to submit this through the feedback form, indicating that this community has little value, particularly regarding 'feature ideas.' Anyone who voted here may need to submit their input via the feedback form, according to AppSheet support. They seemed confident about this, so hopefully, they're reviewing feedback, but we shouldn't expect any updates AS USUAL. @takuya_miyai
The current manager of AppSheet appears to lack understanding and comprehension. In my view, they should hire a more capable leader for this platform, or apssheet may soon be in recyclebin.
I totally agree, it would be really convenient! Even if you don't plan on using this feature, the very presence of such an option makes interaction with the site more pleasant. It shows how you can take care of users, making their experience easier and more pleasant.
By the way, I recently started studying cryptocurrencies, and for this I use the https://learn.binany.com/ platform. They offer excellent courses that help to understand the complex aspects of crypto. If you are interested, you can also take a look - a lot of useful information!
Inspired by the long-standing community request and need for one of the app I am building for native copy-to-clipboard support, I’ve built a Chrome extension that adds a 📋one-click copy button next to specific values in your AppSheet app.
What it does
Finds specific labels like “Reference ID”, “Tracking Code”, etc.
Adds a 📋 button next to the value
Click = Copied to clipboard
with a quick ✅ feedback.
Also includes a popup for manual use if preferred
🔧Fully customizable:
You can change the target label in the code to match any field in your app. So it’s not limited to one use case — use it for codes, statuses, links, names… whatever you need.
Why it matters:
Sometimes just seeing a copy icon gives users confidence. Even if they don’t use it often, it’s a small UX boost.
Let me know if you want to try it or need help adapting it to your app setup. Extension isn’t published yet — install it via developer mode.
