Data that can change inside the map views live

I would like the map view to be able to show real time data.  

For example,

  I have a few apps that I have API's connected.  The API is so we can see real live data.  The problem is, my user must keep refreshing the screen in order to see latest data. 

Can you make the map see live data?

I know it is not today.  But is it something that maybe could be later?  I have seen some apps put a refresher in the map area only and it refreshes automatically.  Is that possible?
