Easy & cheap link for Google SQL instance

Now Appsheet is owned by Google, why not offer an easier & cheaper way to use a SQL database?

ATM most people seem to be using Sheets. My hypothesis is the $5k per year or so cost to connect to a SQL database is way outside what most businesses can justify. Why not drop the connector cost for Google SQL instances? I’ve got a few clients that would be happy to pay $50-$200 per month for a faster App. But they won’t pay $5k per year plus the monthly cost. Sometimes in business dropping the price means you actually make more profit. See - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Ford#Model_T

AppSheet databases should serve as the solution here.

@Roderick This shouldn't be marked as delivered, because it has not been.

What has been delivered is a connection to a sort of toy database (similar to Airtable) which has some use but is absolutely different from a real database engine like those offered by GCP Cloud SQL, which is the original request.

Unfortunately, this isn't the delivered feature we were expecting, nor does it serve as an effective workaround for the original request.

Just realised that SQL connectors have been quietly dropped from - https://about.appsheet.com/pricing/  They were in enterprise licences.  Can someone at Appsheet explain this change?
