Feature idea category no longer present the status...... Better not to throw the ideas?

It used to be presented that how many users valuable ideas are under consideration, materialized etc etc. However, such a stat is seemingly removed. provably it may be a noise to the Google. We all knows none of our idea posted to this category was materialized before. The removing the stats is kinda of indication Google does not listen to the users voice, as they may feel such a request is just a noise today. If so, please remove and shut the category for FEATURE IDEA from Appsheet Page, as we know our voice never being listened. The removal of the status is the clear indication that the Google (like before) not listen to the user/third party opinion, but just concentrate on the internal stuffs. Pity

Removal of the status stats is fine, as we know it is not reliable.  Not to let the user expect something new, it is better to close this category. Honestly.

Then open new category "AI with Appsheet" or something like that as Google wishes, while leaving the user voices behind.

Sad to say, but I have to agree with you;  it really does seem that the "community driven" nature of the platform is truly gone.

After Praveen's article exposing what the internal situation is like when working at Google, it's not like anyone on the team could stand up and say, "Hey we might do well to listen to these people."  They'd be fired right quick, or reassigned to training some Ai thing.

And that's really the crux of it all right there.... Ai stuff.  How many of the AS team are tasked with Ai stuff right now?  20%  42%  65%... 90%%???

So that's what we can expect in the future from the AS team; lots and lots of Ai stuff.  But anything in the form of fixing long-standing bugs (I'm looking at you valid if formulas that produce a list of options that fail through automation), let alone taking any suggestions here and attempting them, these things seem to be being overshadowed by the "need" for Ai stuff.

IMHO of course.  I could be way off. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@MultiTech I've just taking to starting all Valid_IFs with

IFS(
CONTEXT("Device")="Server",
TRUE,
...
)

So that the Bot basically gets free-reign and doesn't get tangled up in any user restrictions.

My question is: What can we do?

Beyond just feeling this (many of us here, especially those who have been around for a while, who experienced when this really had feedback), what can we do?

If there's something that keeps me here, it's you all. This is like a kind of social network (I hardly use any others), but I come here to solve my development doubts, and I’ve seen you all here for some time. You’re like coworkers. Truthfully, this community exists only because of you. We’re the ones pulling the cart forward. So, it occurs to me as a true/false: we either stay and keep going here, or we leave. In the short term, it seems like we need to be patient. In my opinion, I believe AppSheet is moving slowly, but it’s progressing. I’ve left more than 50 ideas for AppSheet, and so have you. But... who knows. Google has chosen to fight the AI battle instead of buying AI. Apple, for example, decided to use GPT, while Google decided to create Gemini. But, well, those are choices. You can’t cover the sun with your hands. The blindness may be irreversible because time is running out. But anyway, I want to trust that AppSheet will keep growing (even though we see it as completely stagnant). Why? Simply because I’m stubborn when it comes to thinking otherwise; it’s a shame what’s happening, and I can’t believe that such a great project is being neglected.

I am not so sad about the situation & the future.

I think that app creators satisfaction can grow amazingly just by adding a handful of simple/basic features asked since a long time by lots of users.

At the end of the day, appsheet is already a great platform. But frustration grows as the most simple bugs are not answered.
