Is AppSheet Listening? Users Say "NO" to Buggy Updates

Feeling unheard as an AppSheet user? You're not alone. Many users are expressing disappointment with recent updates, questioning their value and convenience. Instead of smooth improvements, we're seeing new and old bugs popping up, while long-requested features remain neglected. Where's the AppSheet team in all this? We deserve transparency and a roadmap for future updates that address our needs.

Let's have an honest conversation:

  1. Which recent AppSheet updates have been most frustrating for you?
  2. What features are you desperately waiting for that haven't materialized?
  3. How has the recent increase in bugs impacted your workflow?
  4. It's time for AppSheet to listen to its users. Share your thoughts and frustrations below, and let's make our voices heard!

Remember, constructive criticism is key to progress. Let's work together to make AppSheet a better platform for everyone.

Really poor support from Appsheet - I am a long term user with many apps! Very basic support if at all, and long wait times.

Guys, even though we all feel the same way, we must be patient. AppSheet is a great platform and allows us to do very advanced things with some programming knowledge. It is a relatively young platform with a lot ahead of it. Let's support AppSheet and try to be its allies. I know it's difficult but not impossible. I have had my frustrations too, but every idea I contribute comes from the genuine desire for this to happen someday. Artificial intelligence is advancing so rapidly that the features we propose may become obsolete in the design process, so I should say we are in a time of great global changes.

From the bottom of my heart, let's be patient because AppSheet (for me, and this is an appreciative judgment) is the best development platform ever created and with the greatest future if Google realizes its potential.

@Gustavo_Eduardo  I agree with your points, but I am not optimistic about the AppSheet's attitude from a BUSINESS perspective.

Staying positive in every situation isn't realistic. Let's discuss this in terms of numbers. If this income statement chart is accurate,

If this is the case, Google Cloud will represent about 12% of total Google revenue, with Google Workspace included. According to the data, AppSheet can never account for more than 2% of total Google revenue, even in the best-case scenario
Future of AppSheet - Google Cloud Community

I have already addressed these points in this post. The attitude and responsiveness of the AppSheet team, both in the community and in support, align with our assumptions. Their consistent silence and ineffective support representatives fail to resolve actual issues, along with the slowest feature updates in years and a lack of user feedback.

Ultimately, this inefficiency will lead top-level managers to view AppSheet as a waste of time and the least profitable tool, which may result in its demise, as seen at https://killedbygoogle.com/

Dear AppSheet team, these badges are currently useless for users. I consider them obsolete, as the feature ideas section has not been maintained or properly addressed in YEARS.

1. INPUT update was frustrating, I mean it is cool but not a big deal to make a live to talk about it. I was waiting for more.

I think the biggest success of the Dev team is changing the syntax of the Input function to complicate a simple problem, but it doesn't solve anything else and just wastes time for the user.

I hope the Appsheet development team listens to the users and doesn't disappoint us.

I always follow the release note every day, Appsheet team doesn't have any update for 2 weeks. I hope they are just on a short vacation 😞
