No meaning to throw the features request here.....

When I initally get onboard AppSheet back in 2017, the featuer requests, asking qustion and getting friends with Appsheet devs were all possible. I did not have any coding experiences, and thanks to their supports I managed to develop fantastic apps. Once we get to know about appsheet and got a skill, we are geting more greedy to get more.

Then in the past  (before google), we posted feature reques here (community), as far as the request is decided as a solutions which will widely help others, then the new features are in placed almost in the following day. but it is past story. Probably 100% feature requests are igored by google after the aquisition.

Then they come up with AppSheet database, new chat APPS????? Who requestted?  At the end of the DAY, such a new features are always buggies. Not suitable for business use.

On the community place, I asked the question to test the reaction from Google. Then they always we (Google) is right so for us , there is no point to continue to discusss as they (G) dont have any ear to listen to our voice.

We know Google does not have skill and capabiity to listen to the user voice as they never did before. Then they purchase AppSheet. They are at a loss how to deal with it, as they are not sure where it is coming from.

Every single day, the risk "killed by Google" is continuously growing fearully.  Hopefully, I will be wrong.

Today, I have tried to follow up on the status of some requests made to have Reusable Items in Appsheet but it is not clear.
That is if there is an ability to make items of an application resuable with an other application. According to support today, apparently not.
I has started a discussion on this:
https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/Reusable-Items-and-Sharing-Collaboration/idi-p...
and found someone else has similar thoughts.

I tried to follow up a few months ago, only to discover Tony Fader had left long ago via linkedin.

It then lead me to search "appsheet takeover" to find this post as one of the leading results.

I was very worried about Appsheet when Google acquired it fearing that all its innovation and direct contact with Praveen, Tony, Alexi and others would be lost. Three years on, this seems to be the case. Even Steve seems to have made his last post in March of 2023. Appsheet seems as dead as the 'Norweigan Blue' bird: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZw35VUBdzo

Most disappointing was how naive those founders were for being aquired by a big bureaucracy. Truly Venture Capitalism at its worst self-destructing as it seeks a golden 'exit' as a startup.

I had wanted to revive some of my apps after years of not actively using it. Sadly, this Christmas Holidays, I will be forced to look at migrating to another platform and rescue whatever code/logic I can from Appsheet.

PS: Thank you Koichi_Tsuji for assisting me with Heirarchy Menus a few years ago. A shining example how what a great community we once had with Appsheet.

The silence is definitely worrying. Many of us have already started seeking alternative platforms. Frankly, this seems completely untrustworthy now.

A lot of folks have already moved away from appsheet development, including the founder himself. There's definitely something missing within the team here at appsheet, or perhaps they're deliberately trying to kill this platform sooner.

Stop looking like Google is abandoning appsheet and the community after acquiring it.z5104072335699_031c20dff4e366cd228f61f4573db4b3.jpgike Google
