Option to add prefix/suffix to number/decimal type field

Similar to how you can assign a Display Name for a column that shows instead of the column name, I’d like to be able to specify a Display Value. Example: Say I have a table of contracts, each with a contract ID, like “122”,“133”,“144”. But I want these contract ID values to be displayed as “C-122” , “C-133” , “C-144” So for the Display Value field I would enter: “C-” & [_THIS] Obviously I could create another column to just concatenate a “C-” onto the id, but that seems unnecessary. Same ask here, our app is to record machine temperature which we need the input field display format like  '5.x °C' during user input. The column should remain numeric type.

Prefix and Suffix are crucial for my app too. Are there any updates? My columns need to retain their Decimal type as they are used in a variety of calculations, but when displayed (e.g. in Form views or in a list secondary header) they need to have a suffix (e.g. "g", "kcal", "reps" etc).

I suggest that the option to add a suffix or prefix should be optional. If its blank just dont use it, if something is in in (and that could be a formula) show it as intended.
