Please remove the 1k log limit for the audit logs

This sounds good in theory, and when you're focused on the performance aspect of the webpage...

  • But if you're actually trying to use the logs to view actual activity over the past 24-48 hours, this limitation makes that task impossible.

If I wanted to drop in and see what is the overall activity in my app, how many operations throughout the days... I can't do this, because things are limited to 1k logs.

This chart would be helpful, but it's limited to 1k logs - which  means it's not representative AT ALL of what's happening.

  • In fact, it's kinda misleading, if you're not cognizant of the 1k limit and how that plays into your time window.
  • Take for example the chart above:
    • I put the time window to the whole day for 9/16/24
    • If I'm not aware that this chart is limited to only 1k logs, I might think that there were only 124 operations on the app yesterday - when in fact there was something on the order of like 2k. 👀
    • You can see how this 1k limit makes that chart VERY misleading, yes?

I can't get a holistic view of activity, which is what I'm currently trying to ascertain.  If this chart didn't have that limitation (and maybe just don't show the logs? so the webpage can load?), then this chart would allow me to see what's been happening.

As always, thanks for considering!  (^_^)

This is so true, I imagine that AppSheet overloads its queries by going back with so many versions. If you stop at one of those columns in the graph you will see that it is on version 760 and you are on version 2800. Anyway, I support the idea 100%.

Yup agreed.  My last monthly bill was $500+ and I'm being nickled and dimed to a log file of 1k?
