Subtotal Multiple Columns above at every group and tables

Dear Experts,
Appsheet only calculate subtotal for one columns in group row or table.

I wish Appsheet can develope new feature like pivot table in Excel or Google sheet. It will very useful for user can check and control their datas.

Hi, not a perfect way but you can make the calculation in a virtual column for those records that belong to the same group and then select it for the view. Your virtual column result can be what ever as it’s the same for all records.

Hi Aleksi,
The virtual column make app loading very slow if we use select or more data.
So I will appsheet can interaget subtotal into appsheet, no need use virtual to calculate subtotal.

Yes, as I said not a perfect way at this moment.

This would be great!

  • Not sure how you could smooth out things with the difference between the sum or average
    • I would think this would be a blanket selection

I could see a secondary toggle, after you select the group aggregate, that allows you to include sub-totals

  • Or maybe that’s one of the aggregate options? And if you select this, it doesn’t show the single grouping value (next to the grouping text) but instead shows a sum for any number/decimal/price/percentage columns you’ve got

Yes I mean, Appsheet support subtotal group for number/decimal/price/percentage columns you’ve got

Hi @Pratyusha and @Aleksi ,

I think this feature is essential. Let's refer to LarkBase and AirTable. These Nocode Platforms support users who can modify to subtotal multiple columns in a group very quickly.

Although I am using Appsheet and consulting hundreds of businesses on digital transformation and training AppSheet for thousands of people to use AppSheet to digitize the process. But I have to admit that Appsheet still has many limitations compared to emerging competitors like Byte Dance's Lark Suite or long-standing no-code platforms like Airtable or PowerApps. Focus on perfecting features and fixing errors that users respond to so that the application runs stably and effectively rather than trying to compete with new features.

Please don't get left behind by your competitors.

Thanks

I think it's very important in the accounting reporting system, if there's a customizable feature similar to a pivot table in Excel, it would be fantastic. i vote this idea. It makes AppSheet more flexible to accommodate various types of reports.

Hi

Has anything happened regarding with app sheets providing running total columns? Im still new to app sheets but finding it very challenging to get to grips with the functionality of app sheets as the videos and help guide is very limited in explaining several issues.

https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/AppSheet-Q-A/Display-multiple-total-column/td-p/680281

Please can someone explain how you display multiple row columns?  The group aggregate only allows for one column at a time.
I have an inline table ux that groups quotes by month. I have the total aggregate for quote amount but want the table to display totals for other columns so that I can display the monthly aggregate amount

I recently posted a question but I have had no response yet and am stuck on how to proceed. Ive had a look atr similar questions that were raised but doesnt seem there is consensus on how to go about it. Ive also had a look at the templates on offer to see if I could get an example to work with but none of the apps has a running total per month in a table view

Can someone tell me what other platforms are available similar to appsheet.
