Tab View in Detail View for Enhanced Desktop Usability

Dear AppSheet Team,

As an expert user of AppSheet with extensive experience managing applications at scale, I’ve encountered a specific usability challenge that I believe could be addressed with a new feature: Tab View in Detail View.

Currently, the tabbed interface is available in forms, which is incredibly useful for organizing and navigating large datasets or complex fields. While it’s possible to replicate a similar experience using a dashboard, this approach becomes suboptimal when the application is used on desktop devices. Dashboards tend to take up too much screen space and don’t provide the same intuitive navigation experience as native tabs.

A tabbed interface in the detail view would offer:

1. Better organization: Allowing users to divide details into logical sections within tabs, improving readability and navigation.
2. Enhanced usability on desktop: A compact, tabbed detail view would make better use of the available screen space compared to dashboards, particularly for users working on data-intensive applications.
3. Consistency across views: Providing tabs in detail views would align with the existing functionality in forms, offering a seamless experience across different app components.

This feature would be a significant improvement for apps used on desktops or in data-heavy contexts, further enhancing AppSheet’s flexibility and user experience.
