Cannot access OAuth Consent Screen setup – keeps redirecting to overview

Hello,

I’m trying to configure the OAuth Consent Screen for my Google Cloud project, but every time I click “OAuth consent screen” under APIs & Services, it redirects me to the OAuth Overview page. There is no option to choose app type (External/Internal), and no “Get started” flow appears.

I’ve tried the following but the issue persists:

  • Used a personal Gmail account (not Workspace)

  • Created a brand-new project

  • Used Incognito Mode to avoid session/caching issues

  • Verified I have Owner role in the project

I also tried visiting https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials/consent/create directly, but it still leads to the overview page.

Could you help me enable the OAuth consent screen setup for my project?

Thank you!

I am having the same issue – have you been able to resolve this?

I found that this is because my app is under testing.
I asked it to deal with multiple user with Gmail O auth. You can publish
your app in GoogleAuthPlatform/Audience page or if you want to do a test,
you can add Test Users under that page.

I'm having the same problem. I had already configured the OAuth client to use Google Play Games services. It was working correctly, but yesterday my testers started reporting that they couldn't log in to see the leaderboard. When I went into the Google console, I saw a message saying that I had to configure the OAuth consent screen before adding credentials (I already had the credentials). Now if I try to go to the "OAuth consent screen," I'm redirected to the "OAuth overview" page.

I don't know what to do anymore... I need help.
