Mysql Monitoring Agent

Hello People,

I'm trying to configure a MSQL monitoring agent using steps as provided in this link

https://cloud.google.com/monitoring/mql/reference 

But somehow it is not working, anyone with a simpler method?

1. What do you want to monitor  / achieve ? 
2. Is this Cloud SQL MySQL instance or VM with installed MySQL ?
