Are Private Service Connect (PSC) and interconnect belong to a product? or different products?

I keep to think these two are different products until I review [this docs](https://cloud.google.com/hybrid-connectivity?hl=en)

This docs says:  Private Service Connect (PSC) over interconnect.

Oh my god. Is this docs wrong?

Hi @anlex_N,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

Private Service Connect(PSC) and Interconnect are different services, but they work together in some use cases. They serve different purposes but can complement each other in hybrid or multi-cloud networking scenarios.

Private Service Connect (PSC) over interconnect” as stated on your provided document refers to a configuration where PSC is used to access services privately, and the underlying network connectivity between your on-premises environment and Google Cloud is provided by Cloud Interconnect, either Dedicated or Partner Interconnect.

Cloud Interconnect

  • Provides low-latency, high-availability connections that enable you to reliably transfer data between your networks.
  • Using Cloud Interconnect provides the following benefits:

- Traffic between your networks doesn't traverse the public internet. Traffic traverses a dedicated connection or goes through a service provider with a dedicated connection. By bypassing the public internet, your traffic takes fewer hops, so there are fewer points of failure where your traffic might get dropped or disrupted.

- You can scale your connection capacity to meet your particular requirements.

Private Service Connect

  • A capability of Google Cloud networking that allows consumers to access managed services privately from inside their VPC network. With Private Service Connect, consumers can use their own internal IP addresses to access services without leaving their VPC networks. Traffic remains entirely within Google Cloud. Private Service Connect provides service-oriented access between consumers and producers with granular control over how services are accessed.

Therefore, PSC is for service-level private access, while Cloud Interconnect is for network-level private connectivity.
