Downgrade Filestore from SSD to HDD

Hello,

I have one filestore of type basic ssd which is 2.5tb. The problem here is even though the consumption is less, we have to pay for provisioned capacity. So is there any option to downgrade this to basic hdd with capacity 1TB ? Thanks.

Hi @praveen11 ,

You've probably already found & seen this doc:

Once an Filestore instance is created, the tier cannot be changed. If you need to change tiers, you must create a new instance and copy the data from your original instance onto the new instance.

I'm not aware of an option to "downgrade" the tier of an existing instance.
