FCC BDC Form

Hi,

I'm trying to fill out the FCC's BDC form. We use Google's Network Planner and I need the clutter information for the map. Specifically for the "Fixed Wireless Clutter Category Data section", I need each clutter type's name (i.e. Tree, Building, etc...) with it's Constant Signal Loss (in dB) and Variable Signal Loss (in dBm).
I also need the name of the clutter data source, its resolution (in arcseconds) and the date.

Does anyone have this information or have already filled out the related forms?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

You can identify clutter type in Network Planner by using the Path Profile tool.

Select the tool from the top toolbar and draw the path on the map - the path profile panel will identify any trees (green) or buildings (gray) in your chosen path. You can hover your mouse over the clutter to show the height and type for a particular point along the path.

You can observe pathloss in a ‘Received Power’ coverage study, but the formulas are proprietary.

The other details you ask about are not available in Network Planner - perhaps someone in the community who has experience w/ the BDC form can suggest where to source this information.

Thanks for your response!
