How can i create an Uptime Check to an App Engine service

Hello, everyone.

I have a bit of a doubt on some steps to create an uptime check to an App Engine service, and since i didn't find any tutorial on a Google Documentation, it would be nice if someone here on this community could help a begginer 🙂

I've chose the Request Method as POST but i don't know what is required on the Content Type / Body / Host Header areas.

Uptime CheckUptime Check

 Thanks for the help!

Best of wishes,

Rodrigo.

Hello @rdrgdev,

Welcome to the Google Cloud Community!

There is a documentation on how to Create a Public Uptime Check

Before you begin, make sure that you have the following permissions when creating an uptime check:

  • Monitoring Editor
  • Monitoring Uptime Check Configurations Editor
  • Monitoring AlertPolicy Editor
  • Monitoring NotificationChannel Editor

also, check the other requirements mentioned in the guide.

To create an Uptime Check, select its protocol and choose App Engine as your resource type. Then enter the protocol-specific fields and follow through the guide.

When you configured your uptime check, there can be a delay of up to 5 minutes before results are shown. During this time, the uptime check dashboard will report the status as "no data available"

If the above options don't work, you can contact Google Cloud Support to further look into your case. Let me know if it helped, thanks!
