How to add new FCC ID to SAS

I have received a new FCC ID for one of the radios. I configured that in the SAS but I am getting the error. I believe the FCC ID needs to be registered in the SAS database. Can you please suggest how that can be done.

Hi ssharma!

Google SAS checks the FCC ID of a device against those listed in the FCC's database during registration. It receives an update to that database every day at CPAS. If the SAS is not accepting the FCC ID of your device,  it might be that it has not received an update that contained that FCC ID yet. We would recommend first making sure that the FCC ID has been entered correctly. Be careful of any ambiguous characters such as 0/o or I/1/L. If you have confirmed the FCC ID is correct, we would recommend waiting until after the next CPAS to see if the error resolves itself. The final possibility is that the FCC ID has not yet been uploaded to the FCC's database. If the previously suggested troubleshooting steps do not resolve you problem, please reach out to your CBSD's vendor and ask them to confirm that the FCC ID has been approved and is listed in the FCC's database.

Hi I copied FCCID when I visited FCC database, meaing there's no error in the charactor.

Can you please provide the FCC ID in question? I suspect that there is already an open ticket on this issue with SAS support, but cannot confirm without more information.

Hi I've got a device whose FCCID has been changed from original manufacturer, and found the new FCCID for the device (w/ serial ID) appears registered successfully. CPAS, known to updating FCCIDs to google SAS, must have updated the FCCID, but I see the error message  "Registration failure : 103 - Invalide value, FCC ID : ......... is not recognized" in the SAS Portal.

How can I resolve this issue? Is there any chance the update of CPAS is wrong?

@likes007

I'm having a little difficulty understanding the cause of the issue and the sequence of events. Can you please tell me exactly what you believe happened? Are you saying the device manufacturer changed the FCC ID of an existing device and now you can't register the CBSD? How do you know the FCC ID of an existing device was changed? What happens when you try to re-register the device using the original FCC ID?

Thank you for replying.

1) We changed FCCID for a device a month ago in the FCC, and the changed FCCID appears on FCC site well

2) After a month, we've found seen the FCCID not recognised by google SAS system while attempting to use google SAS ; CPAS is expected to have updated the ID to google DB but seems not done yet or contaminated the ID data. Please resolve it ASAP.

Thanks for clarifying. We are indeed looking into the issue with this particular device via a support ticket. I will post again on the community forum once the issue has been resolved

Thanks for your patience!

The cause of this issue has been identified and corrected. The FCC ID should begin working with Google SAS after the next CPAS (7 AM - 10 AM UTC daily) tomorrow.

Kind regards,

James
