Hello Usman317
You would need to devise an approach for your migration. There are various migration strategies like Rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, retire, etc. So the migration will entirely fit in one bucket. It would depend on what application are dependencies are you going to migrate. First you need to perform risk analysis and dependency matrix of the workloads that you are planning to migrate to cloud. And you should start with the least risk ones first. Perform testing after migration and monitor it for few days.
In case if you ae migration the entire application then you should first figure out how you would migrate the dependencies first before the actual application migration. Hope this helps.
What do you mean by physical servers ?? Do you want to migrate a Virtual Machie that you have locally and want to move it to cloud??
if you have mysql databases you can move them to the cloud sql easily using cloud migration service . What you want to do??
Hi,
You should check this https://cloud.google.com/migration-center/docs/migration-center-overview and
https://cloud.google.com/migrate/stratozone/docs/about-stratozone.
"How to" from documentation
https://cloud.google.com/migrate/compute-engine/docs/4.8/how-to/migrate-on-premises-to-gcp/overview

Can I please re-open this issue? I have a similar question to SHIVAMAGG960
This answer provided as "Solved" is not detailed enough IMO.
I am very familiar with migration planning having done lots of migrations from virtual and physical servers into AWS (Rehost). The AWS Application Migration Service seems a lot more flexible when migrating "physical" servers "in racks" into AWS using block-level replication VS the Google Cloud approach, which from what I can see, is not as easy to employ.
Is there an agent I can install on my physical server that can then replicate to Google cloud?
What's the closest option to this in Google Cloud, please?
I keep getting directed to https://cloud.google.com/migrate/virtual-machines/docs/5.0 which isn't useful when trying to understand how to migrate a "physical" server (not a virtual on VMWare - I get that bit).
Please help.
